County Trials
County Trials will take place on the three week-ends of September 2007 on the 8th, 15th and 22nd, for the first trial, at The CNS Eaton School, Eaton Road, Norwich.
All schools in the County area will be contacted by the County Secretary inviting them to put forward their best players, but should you wish to take part in the trial week-ends and your school has not told you, print off the form supplied on the trial link and send to the County Secretary by 9th August 2007, or bring it with you including the £15 fee on the first day.
Congratulations to all players who are selected to play for the County this coming season. Selection for the County represents a very high level of achievement and I am sure you feel very proud of your son's inclusion.
As part of the County Squad we do expect the highest standards of behaviour both on and off the pitch. Please read the Code of Conduct on this site and digest as any infringement of such could and will result in the player or players concerned being asked to leave the squad.
Norfolk will be running squads around twenty players, for away games sixteen players are selected (those not chosen for these games may travel with us if they wish to do so). For home fixtures all County players are invited to attend the game and the post match buffet.
All players are expected to attend our training sessions after which the squad will be chosen for our next County game. Selection for each game is the responsibility of the appropriate Team Managers.
County Sweatshirts
As many of you are aware, we do ask our County players to purchase a County sweatshirt, players use these garments to wear to and from County games, some take them into school for P.E. sessions to show they have gained County honours. The tops are good, lasting quality , fully embroidered with the Norfolk School's F.A. crest and will this year cost £17.00 each ( cheques payable to N.S.F.A. please ). They will be available for our first games.
County Tracksuits
Thanks to both our current sponsors tracksuits are going to be provided for the U14s, U15s and U16s squads for the coming season which will make our squads look more professional and enable them to travel to and from games comfortably but smart.
Medical Consent Forms
Included with letters handed out to players is a medical consent form that I would like you to complete and return. We are very fortunate in having Colin Mallett, a fully trained medical administrator, attending all our matches and Colin needs your permission to arrange any medical treatment and help him be aware or any allergies etc. that may affect any pitch side treatment needed for a player.
Any Players NOT returning these forms will NOT be selected for a County game.
If you have any objections to your son being photographed could you please let me know as soon as possible.
If you should require any further information regarding any aspects of our County football please give me, ( Dave Kimber ) a call.
Match Reports
Match reports will be put in the Pink-Un if space is available
Sponsorship for 2007/8 Season
As you are probably aware it costs a great deal of money to run three county teams each season, although we do get small grants, which are reducing each season, we do rely on getting finance from other sources to help us continue. Steve Kidd has been brilliant in his support for the county but we cannot always expect his help. If you work for or know of any business, preferably Norfolk based, although not essential, that might be able to help please let us know; every little helps.
