Parents and Players

Take time to read and digest the County Code of Conduct, it has been formulated so that both players parents enjoy the experience of representing Norfolk County Schoolboys both on and off the field of play.

Any player or parent who persistently breaks the code of conduct will be asked to leave the County organisation.

Players

  1. Display a good attitude towards the game, your team mates, opponents, coaches, officials and spectators.

  2. Respect the laws of the game and the idea of fair play.

  3. No swearing will be tolerated in training or matches.

  4. Any form of bullying will result in the expulsion of the players concerned.

  5. Accept victory and defeat with good grace.

  6. Respect the skill of your opponents and, if greater than yours, try to learn from them.

  7. Shake hands after the game, win or lose.

  8. Control your temper, accept mistakes can happen, adopt a positive attitude.

  9. Treat your team mates as you would like to be treated.

  10. Be punctual for training and matches, both at home and travelling away.

  11. Inform your team manager at the earliest possible moment if you are unable to play, when selected.

  12. Adhere at all times to the code of conduct.

Dress Code

  1. Wear your county sweatshirt ( if you have one ) for all coaching sessions and on match days.

  2. No baseball caps or jewellery to be worn.

  3. Smart casual clothes and sweatshirt on match days, no trainers.

  4. Look smart with shirts inside shorts and socks pulled up, shin guards to be worn at training and at matches, make sure your kit is clean, your footwear is appropriate and clean.

Parents

  1. Promote the county and adopt a good attitude towards its aims at all times.

  2. Promote good attitude towards the game, your son and his team mates.

  3. Respect and promote fair play.

  4. Any form of abuse towards the coaching staff or players of any teams will result in the expulsion of the culprits.

  5. Respect the rules governing spectators both at home and away.

  6. Do not shout at coach from the touchline, at training or at matches.

  7. Support and encourage at all times.

  8. Treat players, officials, coaches and other parents as you would expect to be treated.

  9. Accept mistakes are part of the learning process.

  10. Ensure that all players hear positive comments on the way they play.

  11. Keep team managers informed of anything that may affect your son's performance, at an appropriate time.

  12. Encourage your son to follow the County's Code of Conduct by setting a good example yourself.
